What is Work Experience

WEX students complete 90 - 120 hours of work placements (non-paid) outside of the school hours. Students must complete an employer and student packages.

Upon  completion students,  will receive 4 credits.

The main purpose of the work experience placements is to help students make informed decisions about their future careers.

We try to arrange placements that provide students hand on, realistic experiences in their career areas of interest. We have placed students with hundreds of different employers working in a wide variety of positions including; teacher assistants, web designers, mechanic assistants, real estate assistants and veterinary assistants. Although our attempt is always to accommodate students choices, some placements are in limited supply and will be distributed based on student merit.
